How does an online booking process work?

When you select your suitable dates for travel, departure city and destination our website will take you to available flight schedule page as a result of your search criteria. You can select the desire flight schedule and click “Select” button next to availability display. You will be required to fill mandatory information from next page and confirm the payment details. Once you complete the booking process, an automated email will be sent to you advising that we have received your booking request and we shall complete your booking during our business hours. Please be advised, “Travel Traders does not guarantee whether the price of tickets and flight schedules displayed to you at the time of booking online and at the time of issuance of tickets will be same.” Online booking done on our website outside our normal business hours will be dealt with only in following business hours and prices and schedule may be different than original booking. In such cases, our consultants will contact you to give you other suitable options if possible. You may decide to withdraw your original booking request in such case.

Is my ticket guaranteed once purchased online?

No. Travel Traders does not guarantee issuance of ticket when you have made booking online on our website. Our consultant may contact you during business hours on same day or following day (if you have made booking on our website outside our normal business hours) if airline do not confirm the booking or booking has some other issue. Tickets will only be issued once Travel traders receives full payment of tickets. Price of the ticket may not be same at the time of ticket issuance as shown online at the time of booking; additional payment will be required in such cases.

Can I change Name on flight ticket?

No. Name changes are not allowed.The name you enter on the Traveller Details screen must be the same as on your passport. Your booking will be made under this name and changes to name details are not allowed by many airlines and other service providers. Whilst we will do our best to make such a change if necessary, please bear in mind that most airlines and other service providers treat a name change as a cancellation, to which standard conditions and charges would apply. If you enter the incorrect name and the airline will accept the change, Travel Traders fee for correcting your error will be AUD150 plus any applicable airline fee.

How can I pay for my booking?

We accept either Visa or Mastercard credit Cards(Credit card surcharge may incur). We also allow you to pay by electronic bank transfer. Our site is securely encrypted with SSL Certificate and all financial transactions are protected by the firewalls available.

All charges are processed in AUD.

What is my baggage allowance?

Baggage allowance varies depending on airlines, and destinations; please contact us to find out the exact baggage allowance for your ticket. However, below are the standard baggage allowance permitted with the airline.
Please check with your consultant to confirm the baggage allowance for your ticket
First class: 40 kg free baggage allowance per person.
Business class: 30 kg free baggage allowance per person.
Economy class: 20 kg free baggage allowance per person.
Australia Domestic tickets and/or to and from New Zealand tickets - NIL Baggage allownce unless specified while booking online on our website or by consultant over the phone. It is passenger's responsibility to check baggage allownce prior to making the booking.
For travel to and from the USA, the free baggage allowance is 1 piece per person.

How do I make changes to my travel ?

Please call our office on 02-9896 4455 and speak to one of your consultants. Please be advised that in most cases a fee will be charged for any changes in your travel. Can I cancel my ticket?

Some tickets are non-refundable, make sure to read/view fare rules of the tickets prior to purchasing ticket online or ask the consultant at the time of purchase online or at our Travel agency. Call us on 02 9896 4455 (During our business hours) to find out if your tickets are eligible for cancellation. Please note that airline cancellation charge and our administration charges may apply. Refer to our Terms & Conditions section to find out more.

What if I can't get through Travel Traders either by Phone or Email? I need to Cancel/Change my Booking immediately.

We intend to answer all calls and emails in timely manner during our normal business hours (MON -FRI 9.30AM to 7PM and SAT 10AM to 5 PM). Outside business hours queries may only be answered the following working hours. In urgent situations where we are unable to answer the calls/emails , please contact direct to Airline/Third party service providers to resolve the issue. Travel Traders accpets no responsibility for any loss or damage in such cases outside our business hours and also outside airlines/suppliers business hours of Local office.

How do I find out more information about booking flights or hotels from Expedia on your website? You will have to visit www.expedia.com.au to find out more information about the bookings made with Expedia from our website. Travel Traders is not liable for any services provided by our third party affiliate such as Expedia.

What happens if I need to change or cancel my tour?

Please Contact us as soon as possible if you must change or cancel your travel plans (During our normal business hours, unless your travel is within 24 hours). Cancellation requests must be submitted to us in writing-by letter or e-mail. We regret that we are unable to issue a full refund for cancellations. The cancellation fee generally depends on the length of notice, type of booking, and refund policies of our local providers.
